About

Silver Linings Neurobehavioral Diagnostics provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for adults and geriatrics (ages 18+). Neuropsychological evaluations are useful in understanding brain functioning and determining when difficulties in thinking, social-emotional functioning, behavioral regulation, and activities in daily living are due to an underlying neurological and/or psychological condition. By identifying patterns in thinking and understanding the cause of symptoms, a more direct treatment plan can be developed. A neuropsychological evaluation assesses cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning and can identify the following diagnoses: - Dementia - Neurocognitive Disorder due to a General Medical/Neurological Condition or Neurological Insult such as a Concussion/Traumatic Brain Injury or Stroke - Adult Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) - Adult Learning Difficulties - Autism Spectrum Disorder/Pervasive Developmental Disorders - Intellectual Disability - Anxiety and Anxiety-Related Disorders - Depression and Other Mood Disorders - Personality Disorders - Adjustment Disorder/Situational Stress Neuropsychological evaluations are often recommended by primary care physicians and specialists (e.g., neurologist, psychiatrist, therapist) to assist with the differential diagnosis and treatment planning. Some common reasons individuals request an evaluation include: -Memory problems -Trouble paying attention -Difficulty completing tasks at home, work, or school -Changes in mood or personality -Sadness or anxiety -Unusual behavior -Interpersonal conflict - Difficulties with Activities of Daily Living - Difficulties with Decision-Making Silver Linings Neurobehavioral Diagnostics understands that neuropsychological evaluations can be intimidating. It is very important to the doctor that your experience is treated with optimism, compassion, and patience. In this small practice setting, you will have the opportunity to feel heard and understood without feeling rushed. The doctor will take time to ensure that you understand the results and treatment recommendations. About Dr. Christina Vocos Dr. Christina Vocos is a clinical neuropsychologist.
